I did this shoot for WWD on the rooftop of the L'Ermitage Beverly Bills on a summer afternoon. We had been getting some nice late summer marine layer the days before so I was hoping it might stick around but no luck. It was all well and good though.
Shooting in bright sun can actually be a little intimidating because it can be very harsh, but you just have to know how to work with the light to get the most out of your subject.
I did a few different setups using the light in different ways and cajoling the publicist to bounce or flag the light accordingly. But it’s easy when you are photographing a Victoria Secret angel.
