This shoot with Wagner Moura for Variety came together quickly and was a blast to do.
My assistant and I moved around this corporate campus with a simple umbrella catching shots as we went. The sky was partly cloudy with the sun peaking out and going behind the clouds as we shot. Typically that would be very frustrating, but we balanced our strobe so that when the sun was out our strobe was just filling in the shadows, and when the sun was behind the clouds our strobe acted as the key.
I love being mobile and moving around and trying to create space for the intangable, unplanned moments to happen.
In this shoot I was also shooting for the spread which the creative director needed for the layout. You can see the spread below as the last image.
Too much fun was had in one day.
